Statement of Faith

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and we accept it as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).

  • There is one God, who is manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).

  • Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all men. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven and is presently seated at the right hand of the Father as our high priest and advocate. He will return in power and glory. (John 10:33; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; 7:26; John 2:11; I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9; John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4; Mark 16:19; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).

  • Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, which resulted in his spiritual death and separation from God. As a person makes the decision to believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and confesses with his mouth the lordship of Jesus in his life, a miracle of regeneration by the Holy Spirit takes place, referred to as being "born again" in the Word. A new Christian is born into the Kingdom of God. For him, old things are passed away and all things are new! (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

  • We believe Christians should do good works. They are not, however, to be confused with or regarded as a means of salvation. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation. (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

  • We believe in the ongoing, sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister to the world around us. (Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4)

  • We believe that God’s power is provided for in the atonement of Christ. It can be accessed through prayer and is able to affect all areas of this physical life including physical and emotional healing. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Acts 10:38)

  • There will be a bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29).
